KUMEES
A native-made Indian muslin that was used to make the Mohammedan dress called Koorta, a garment reaching down almost to the ankles, and put on in the manner of a shirt. Dimensions, 36-in. X 20 yards, 40 ends and 36 picks per inch, weight about 10-oz. The word is from Gumees, Arabic for shirt.
